Dental Bridges
We may recommend a dental bridge if you are missing a single tooth or multiple teeth. A bridge helps fill the gap left by a missing tooth or teeth to help maintain the structure of your smile.
A bridge can help also prevent your natural teeth from shifting or rotating in the space created by a missing tooth.
As you might have guessed, a bridge attaches to the remaining natural teeth on either side and 'bridges the gap' that is caused by a missing tooth or teeth.
The lifetime of your bridge will depend on the health of the supporting teeth.
Dental Crowns
We may suggest a dental crown to help restore a broken, decayed or weak tooth.
A crown can also be used to enhance the cosmetic appearance of a tooth.
Sometimes, referred to as a 'dental cap,' a crown can be made out of porcelain or ceramic, gold alloy, or a combination of both.
Once cemented into place, a crown covers the entire tooth at and above the gum line.
